David was fast! When he was a youngster, he spent almost a year on crutches. All that year we would race and darn if he wouldn’t often beat me toward the end of that year. David never knew that he wasn’t supposed to be a certain way. He didn’t make much of his limitations. He accepted things, found joy and moved on. Toward the end, he found he could no longer move on and gracefully he left us. I will miss his contagious laugh, his wide grin and mischievous smile.
